Our indoor swimming pool, heated to 28 degrees, is the beating heart of the campsite. Young children love the playful paddling pool with its mini-slide, water games with turnstile, mushroom, buckets and water jets. Meanwhile, parents enjoy the balneo area with its massaging seats and relaxing water jets, or swim a few lengths in the large pool. The atmosphere around the pool is lively, with activities designed for the whole family: aquagym in the morning for a gentle wake-up call, water games in the afternoon for the kids, and some convivial pool parties during the summer. Simple, joyful moments, perfect for sharing happy family memories.

Tailor-made vacations for your children
At Camping de La Croix l’Abbé, special attention is paid to the well-being of our youngest guests. The children’s club welcomes 5-13 year olds with activities adapted to each age group, so that they can enjoy their vacation in complete confidence.
The mini-club welcomes 5-8 year olds from 10am to 12pm, while the teen club takes over for 9-13 year olds from 2pm to 5pm. Treasure hunts, sports tournaments, creative crafts and mini-discos punctuate the day. In a joyful, supervised atmosphere, the youngest members of the family make new friends, have fun, create and gradually gain independence.
Open 5 days a week in July and August and during the school vacations, the club gives parents the chance to enjoy some duo time with peace of mind, in the knowledge that their children are looked after, safe and enjoying adventures adapted to their age.
A playground completes the leisure offer, with spring games, swings, a slide and a climbing structure, allowing the little ones to expend their energy in complete safety.

Vacations at the campsite also mean convivial family evenings in a simple, relaxed atmosphere. From April to November, the entertainment team offers something for everyone, with up to three themed evenings a week in July and August, to extend the day without excess.
The program includes activities for everyone: aperitif games to get together gently, quizzes and karaoke to have fun together, live concerts, shows, dance evenings and bingo, in a friendly atmosphere where everyone participates at their own pace.

The bar, with its terrace overlooking the park, is ideal for a coffee in the morning, a refreshing break in the afternoon or a drink as an aperitif. And for family breakfasts, a bread and pastries drop-off service is available in high season.
The campsite’s grocery store makes it easy to stock up on essentials: canned goods, drinks, charcoal, hygiene products, beach items and a few souvenirs. And for longer stays, the launderette, equipped with washing machines and tumble dryers, makes everyday life easier, without the need for advance planning.

Seal-watching at the Pointe du Hourdel or during a pirogue trip (available from age 6-7) is often a highlight for young holidaymakers, as they marvel at Europe’s largest seal colony. For families with slightly older children, crossing the bay with a naturalist guide is a great moment to experience together, accessible from age 7-8. The Parc ornithologique du Marquenterre, with its family-friendly trails and observatories, is the perfect complement to this discovery. Count on half a day of fun and educational exploration.

It’s a well-known fact that children love the beach. The Baie de Somme has many family beaches, huge stretches of sand for swimming, building sandcastles, collecting shells, playing ball or flying a kite. Among the most popular are Fort-Mahon-Plage, Quend-Plage, Le Crotoy, Cayeux-sur-Mer and Mers-les-Bains.
Pedal-boat, kayak and pirogue outings are available from Le Crotoy and Pointe du Hourdel, for those aged 6 to 8 and always accompanied by a guide, to observe seals and birds in complete tranquillity. Older children can also discover sand yachting on the open beaches of Quend or Ault, supervised by local schools.
